What is Coaching?

Psychology based coaching is a training or development process via which an individual is supported whilst achieving a specific personal or professional competence, result or goal.

Benefits to coaching an individual include:

~ improvement in individual's performance, targets and goals.

~ increased openness to personal learning and development.

~ increased ability to identify solutions to specific work-related issues.

~ greater ownership and responsibility.

~ development of self-awareness.

I graduated through Chester University in psychology based Coaching, and completed my study through Barefoot Coaching. I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

There are various different types of coaching and the areas that I specialise in are detailed below.

Business Development Coaching

Business coaching is a process used to take a business from where it is now to where the business owner wants it to be. In my capacity as a business coach I will assist and guide you, the business owner, in growing your business by helping you clarify the vision of your business and how it fits in with your personal goals.

I provide positive support, feedback and advice to an individual or group, to improve your personal effectiveness in a business setting. This includes executive coaching, corporate coaching and leadership coaching.

Personal Development Coaching

Coaching is an ongoing relationship which focuses on taking action toward the realisation of your visions, goals or desires.

I will draw upon a variety of tools and techniques from other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, positive adult development and career counselling and aim towards helping you to identify and achieve your personal goals.

Bringing mindfulness to the forefront of your development will enable us to work with relaxation techniques specifically designed to allow your unconscious mind to move through to your conscious mind. This draws attention to the areas you wish to develop making those areas more present.

Silent Coaching

This is a slightly different approach to the traditional coaching methods and I was introduced to this style of coaching through my studies with Nancy Klein and also through my Reiki teachings. This is a fascinating approach to coaching and really shows that all the answers are within you, I just hold the space and bring in the tools to allow you to draw your attention to what you want and how to achieve it.

We all live in a fast paced environment, so to be able to just be with your thoughts, in a safe environment, provided with the tools to explore the possibility of change, is a liberating experience and one that I am trained to help provide to you. Working with the breath, calming the mind and just allowing the 'quiet' mind to surface. Le
